These fabulous antique Victorian Amethyst drop earrings were made representing the Suffragette movement, Circa 1900.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
Each earring is set with a green Peridot, a creamy Pearl and a beautiful violet Cabochon Amethyst.
All set in 18ct Yellow Gold and fitted with Gold shepherd hook wires.
A colourful pair that are eye catching dangling from the ear.
